Welcome to the seventieth episode of the Dunkin' with Dom podcast! Just over two months ago, hundreds of Syracuse University students took to the streets on a Tuesday night (September 21st, 2021) to protest alleged allegations of sexual assault by a member of the fraternity Psi Upsilon. In this episode (recorded on September 29th, 2021), Jake and I sit down for nearly an hour to discuss the event itself, contextualizing everything that happened that night, providing our own perspectives, and sharing our thoughts on what it was like to cover it as members of CitrusTV. We'll start off by talking about our initial reactions, how the protests transpired, and give our general takes on the situation. Then, we'll provide a rough timeline of what happened, as well as what it felt like to cover the event. Lastly, we'll talk about a bunch of different topics, including the IFC's lack of response, the benefits of broadcast journalism, how this will event "rush" next semester, what's next for SU, and much more. Today's guest(s): Jake Morel

TRIGGER WARNING: This episode does discuss topics relating to sexual assault and rape culture. Viewer discretion is advised.
