Karamokoh Wurie was born in Free Town Sierra Leone, West Africa. After a challenging childhood, Karamokoh was moved to the United States. He lived in Alexandria, Virginia, where he attended sixth grade. Following high school, Karamokoh attended VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University) before enlisting into the Army. His army duty stations include the 36th Engineer Brigade in Fort Hood, Texas. The 214th Aviation in Wiesbaden, Germany. The 16th MP and 83rd Civil Affairs in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The 65th Medical Brigade in Camp Humphreys, South Korea. Karamokoh did two tours in Afghanistan in Support of “Operation Enduring Freedom,” and was also part of the detail team for “Operation Anakonda,” that took place in Poland.
