The Unlawful Execution of George Floyd
The story starts off as most police killings do: Police in Minneapolis were called about someone trying to pass a counterfeit bill at a neighborhood grocery store. Two officers responded, and what we know next comes from a widely circulated video showing a White police officer pinning down an African-American man, named George Floyd with a knee on Georges’ neck. Five minutes into the 10 minute video, Floyd is motionless- and dead, even as the officer’s knee remains on his neck.
