Has Silicon Valley Made The Workplace Too Casual?

More and more offices in Corporate America have adopted a work culture strongly influenced by the casual, laid-back attitude of technology start-ups. Unlike the offices of yesteryear, where employees clocked out at 5Pm sharp, and serious formality- referring to the boss as “Mr” so-and-so, business professional dress everyday, keeping family life separate from work life- today’s modern office touts open floor plans, first-name basis with the manager, and sweaters and jeans everyday. Has this integration led ro a workplace that is too casual?
