We previously talked about homeless school children in Michigan,with a recent report chronicling  the 36,000+ homeless children in Michigan. But i New York, the numbers are even more staggering: 114,085 students in New York City schools are homeless. The number of school-age children in New York who live in shelters or ‘doubled-up’ in apartments with family or friends has shot up by 70 per cent over the past decade. This crisis is without precedent in New York City’s history. At night, these children sleep in squalid, unsafe rooms until they move again. Often, school is the only stable place they know,
