Neal is an Associate Professor in Kinesiology at Universit\\xe9 Laval in Qu\\xe9bec, QC and Research Chair at the Centre de m\\xe9dicine de plong\\xe9e du Qu\\xe9bec. He was previously Research Director at Divers Alert Network (DAN) in Durham, North Carolina. His academic training is in zoology, exercise physiology and environmental physiology. His research interests focus on human health and safety in extreme environments.
