Wauwatosa is an inner ring suburb of Milwaukee that serves a diverse student population of 7,300 students.\\xa0\\xa0Phil started his career in education as a teacher and coach in the\\xa0Marble Falls Independent School District in\\xa0Texas and the\\xa0Tomah Area School District in\\xa0Wisconsin. \\xa0He was\\xa0a middle school principal in the Menasha Joint School District in\\xa0Wisconsin, as well as an associate principal at the High School in Menasha. \\xa0Prior to his superintendency in\\xa0Wauwatosa, Phil was the Superintendent of the Kiel Area School District, where he served for 5 years.\\xa0 \\xa0\\xa0Phil obtained his bachelor\\u2019s degree from the University of Wisconsin, at LaCrosse, and his master\\u2019s degree in educational administration from\\xa0Winona State University. \\xa0He received his doctoral degree in Education from Columbia University in New York.
