Sashia is a Dominican American chef who is the Chef de Cuisine at Friday, Saturday, Sunday, the #2 restaurant in the city according to Philly Magazine.

She was born and raised in the Bronx and then attended the Art Institute in Philadelphia for culinary management.

Over the past decade, she’s worked at 19 kitchens, including a number of Philly’s most prominent restaurants, including, Barbuzzo’s, Little Nonnas, and Fork.

Sashia comes with a wealth of knowledge around all things food, resiliency, and restaurant management.

In this week’s episode, Sashia tells some eye-opening stories from her culinary journey in Philadelphia, which truly shine a light on her resilience.

She also shares about her Dominican American upbringing, and how those influences inform the food that she creates today.

She goes on to explain the power that mentorship has had on her life, as well as her creative process as a chef.
