Success

Published: Dec. 31, 2020, 11 a.m.

In this episode we talk about success. When are you successful?

We tried to stay away from conventional views and pay more attention to how we feel the phenomenon “success” should be interpreted.

Tjalling thinks that putting on ‘business class socks’ will help him to immerse himself in this subject. But are these socks really helpful?

Shownotes:

In this episode we talk about Tim Ferriss. Tim Ferriss has been listed as one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Business People” and one of Fortune’s “40 under 40.” He is an early-stage technology investor/advisor (Uber, Facebook, Shopify, and many more) and the author of five #1 New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestsellers, including The 4-Hour Workweek.*  It’s one of our all time favorite (business) books. We wrote a book review about it.

In this episode we discuss the book The Third Door. The Wild Quest to Uncover how the World’s most Successful People Launched Their Careers by Alex Banayan. We wrote a book review we wrote about this book.

We mention the article ‘1000 True Fans’ by Kevin Kelly, Senior Maverick for Wired.

Tjalling reads a piece from the book Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. We really recommend reading this book or listen to the audio version. We also wrote a book review about it.
