San Francisco Supervisor Dean Preston is the first Democratic Socialist elected to local office in San Francisco in decades since Harry Britt (Rest in Power). After his first year of office, most of which has transpired through the pandemic, Preston was elected in November 2020 for his first full four-year term. Host Jackie Fielder and Sup. Preston discuss social housing, homelessness, public housing, conservative online backlash, and Preston's family history stemming back to the Holocaust.
