Austerity measures and politics threaten San Francisco’s Shelter-in-Place hotel program for more than 2,400 homeless people. Biden is filling his cabinet with tech executives. California Governor Gavin Newsom has the power to appoint a number of new elected officials to fulfill the empty seats of Senator Kamala Harris and Attorney General Xavier Becerra. California faces an eviction tsunami with the current botched moratorium in place. It’s all a little much to think about during these times, but to chew on these and other developments, Jackie Fielder brings on her close friend Sabel Rose Regalia, Supervisor Matt Haney, and Coalition on Homelessness policy/social media manager Keegan Medrano.
