On Wednesday, March 17, Jackie announced the launch of Daybreak PAC (@Daybreak_PAC), a political action committee dedicated to recruiting and electing corporate-free candidates to the California state legislature, and mobilizing support for advocacy campaigns.
Daybreak PAC seeks candidates to support in four currently Democrat-held state senate districts that will have races with no incumbent in 2022, as well as candidates to challenge State Senate and Assembly members with disappointing records on AB 1400 (Guaranteed Healthcare for All), AB 387 (Social Housing Act of 2021), SB 467 (Fracking), AB 20 (Corporate-Free Elections Act), and other bills concerning tenant protections, fossil fuel extraction, public banking, decarceration, social housing, public education, and progressive taxation.
