Today at 10:53, a press release went out announcing that Chris Petersen will be stepping down as the head coach of the Huskies, and Jimmy Lake will get the bump up to head coach. Many assumed that Petersen wouldn't be here long-term, but few expected things to change now. If there is one positive, it's that Jimmy Lake will be sticking around. It was assumed that sooner or later, he'd take off for a head coaching job somewhere else. The fact that Petersen is stepping down now means he can stay to lead this program. Not completely lost in the big news of the day, there is a Seahawks game tonight, and Vikings voice Paul Allen drops by to discuss the game.
