He breaks down how the products work and why he chooses to sell them.\\n\\n\\nDean graduated college in Arizona with a degree in electrical engineering. While in college he got his taste for backcountry just by hiking around the mountains with his board strapped to his back. He took a job in Hillsboro, Oregon where he started riding on Mt. Hood. After building a DIY splitboard he started a mail order splitboard company called Mountain and Terrain Technologies (MNT). Here he started giving companies feedback on the gear they were sending him. In 2007 he moved to Huntsville, Utah where he now runs The Splitboard Shop. This website is a one stop shop for all your splitboarding needs.
