How does missing the Olympics turn into an opportunity of a lifetime?
Listen in to Queenslander Kristina Clonan’s story about how she moved to Adelaide as part of the Australian Women’s Track Endurance Team in 2018 and after missing selection for the 2020 (now 2021) Olympics, she has been reallocated within the Cycling Australia program to Podium Potential in sprint. Kristina is now targeting the 2022 Commonwealth Games and beyond. She’s a dual medallist at the Junior World Track Championships and has raced in the Tour Down Under and the Japan Cup. Kristina is a 2 times Aussie National Track Champion and has also won gold in the under 23 criterium at the Aussie Road Nationals. At just age 22, Kristina recently posted the fastest times in the elite women’s 500m time trial and the flying 200m in the Cycling Australia Virtual Track Challenge in October.
