Most importantly he has seen the Australian cricket emerging from the lows of mid-1980s, heights of Allan Border's captaincy and the rise to being world champion. He was one of the few who witnessed the Tied Test of 1986 at Madras (as Chennai was called then) and the 1987 World Cup.
