Present Perfect Continuous

Published: Feb. 3, 2021, 4 a.m.

This one tense that a lot of Spanish speakers don't use or make a lot of mistakes with. Recently, I've been correcting this a lot so I thought it was worth dedicating a bit of time to it.

It makes sense because in Spanish you would say "Llevo tres años viviendo aquí" and in English we say "I've been living in Madrid for 3 years" (Cue brain explode emoji)

in this episode I cover the main mistakes to avoid and ways that you can tell if you need to use this tense or not.

I also cover how we can measure time with this tense using For and Since which is another sticking point for students. In short, this is an area where people make A LOT of mistakes so it's worth your time to check it out.
