Now while that might not seem very extraordinary, it is important because it is a piece of bureaucracy. It is a piece of bureaucracy that we can hold in our hands. And it was a piece of that bureaucracy that helped launch the opioid epidemic. In this day in age where facts can be debated, it is proof of a real crime again our nation. It is evidence that no one cares about, and ignores. But it is a crisis that all started with a 17-word sentence.
