Shaun faced his fair share of adversities growing up, from living in an abusive environment to not having any electricity or running water for six years. Determined to create a better life for himself, he left home and starting working at the age of 14. This determination paid off, leading Shaun to be awarded a rugby scholarship. Shaun then went on to serve Australia for 6 years as a sniper, being deployed three times.
