Why Lithuania has to hurt China?

In November 2021, despite China's strong opposition, Lithuania insisted on allowing Taiwan to open a "Taiwan Office in Lithuania".

At that time, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a warning that "Lithuania will definitely pay the price" for violating the one China policy and harming China’s core interest.

Just two months later, under China's all-round diplomatic, political and economic pressure, Lithuania gradually felt "pain", and Lithuania's domestic opposition, business people, and even some media in Germany, the largest economy in the EU, have criticized Lithuania's "rash advance" on the Taiwan issue.
