Is escaping from Afghanistan a strategic adjustment or strategic collapse?

Once the hegemonic empire withdrew from Afghanistan, all of them quickly collapsed or disintegrated. On what basis does the United States be an exception?

In 1989, the Soviet Union withdrew from Afghanistan in embarrassment. Two years later, the Soviet Union collapsed. From its invasion in 1979 to its withdrawal in 1989, the former Soviet Union fought in Afghanistan for ten years and then fell into an economic quagmire. In 2001, the United States sent troops to Afghanistan to attack the Ataliban under the pretext of the September 11 attacks launched by al-Qaeda. It has been 20 years since then. Like the former Soviet Union, the United States was caught in an economic quagmire, and then had to withdraw from Afghanistan in embarrassment.
