How rankings are manipulated to discredit China?

Published: Sept. 3, 2021, 4 a.m.

It is an indisputable fact that the overall strength of the West has been declining. It is not only manifested in the emergence of political amateurs like Donald Trump being elected president of the United States, or the Brexit referendum, but also manifested in the fact that mainstream Western media such as BBC and CNN are becoming less and less credible. They can even propagate the big lie like "genocide" in Xinjiang.

There is a joke on the internet to ridicule such Western rankings, saying: 20 years ago, Chinese people read the Western rankings and shook their heads and said, “oh, we are not doomed”. Ten years ago, the Chinese would sigh and say, “Oh, the West is so great”. Five years ago, the Chinese would say that “we are not so bad after all?” Now, when the Chinese look at the Western rankings, they would say: “that’s it”?

Recently, there has been another joke. Bloomberg in the United States, the world’s largest financial information company, has launched an anti-epidemic ranking list, ranking the countries and regions it believes has done well in the fight against the epidemic. The United States actually topped the list, which aroused a lot of criticism and doubts. Under the pressure of public opinion, Bloomberg made another ranking revision. Somehow, the United States still topped the list.

I set up and operate this channel alone, hoping to share the real China with the world as well as clarify misconceptions and lies against China.

The continued development of China is the biggest game-changer in this century that affects all aspects of everyone’s lives. Embrace the change and seize the opportunity.
