End for Taiwan?

Due to the sensitivity of the Taiwan issue in Sino-US relations, when Sino-US relations are good, the United States will be more restrained and even suppress Taiwan’s internal Taiwan independence forces and prevent them from becoming "troublemakers." However, Sino-US relations are not good, so various political forces within the United States will play the "Taiwan card" and create "trouble" in cross-strait relations.

The purpose of the United States playing the Taiwan card is actually very simple. First, to advertise to the world that the United States supports so-called freedom and democracy; second, to strategically contain China; third, to seize the opportunity to sell weapons to Taiwan and collect protection fees .

After the Trump administration came to power, it listed China as the number one strategic competitor of the United States, so the "Taiwan card" must be played. Weapons were also sold more often. Trump is very happy to bring profits to the American arms dealers.

However, if you look closely, the United States offers nothing other than beautiful words to Taiwan, and by the way, it has not made any substantial "concessions" to Taiwan whether it is from a political, diplomatic, or economic point of view.

The reason why Taiwan stays close to the American is also well understood. It is like whistling at night in order to make yourself less afraid.
