Kinetics and mechanism of the conversion of cyclobutenones to vinylketens
The structure–rate relationships for the electrocyclic ring opening of phenylated and alkylated cyclobutenones to vinylketens, though not fully understood, resemble those which are observed in cyclobutene ring openings.
