Published: Jan. 1, 2021, 10:55 p.m.

This week I had the privilege of sitting down with Rebecca Freedman who shares with us how she found a way to heal her relationship with food.

Through her journey of losing 120+ pounds, Rebecca learned how to eat for life, believe in her worth, and choose to feel good. She is living proof that you can rewrite your story. Allow her to guide you on the path of recognizing and conquering the obstacles that have been holding you back from living the life you have always dreamed of.

IN THIS PARTICULAR EPISODE YOU WILL LEARN:

Rebecca has an amazing story because she is an amazing person!  She turned to the comfort of food in an attempt to find self-worth. Once she reached a certain weight she correlated her size and weight with her worth. So what makes her so amazing?

Her ability and willingness to be honest with herself and have the courage to do whatever it took to change her life around. In doing so, Rebecca lost weight, regained her energy, and found a new love for food in her life.

Happy ending right? Well, what you will learn about Rebecca might surprise you.  Even after losing over 120 pounds, Rebecca continues to struggle from time to time as we all do. Rebecca is a real person with real feelings, issues, and hardships.  She has found her way to live with these imperfections and become the master of her life not the victim of it.

Rebecca provided the following Tips and Tricks specifically for the listeners of Change Your POV Podcast!

General Meal-Building Suggestions:

When putting together a meal, I like to think of a protein, veggie (or 2!), a fat, and a fruit. It's so simple!

- For breakfast, I might choose eggs, spinach and onions, avocado, and some berries for breakfast.

- For lunch or dinner, I might choose something like chicken, spiralized zucchini noodles, roasted veggies, pesto (dairy-free), and I'd probably skip fruit with a meal like this.

My Favorite Ways to Eat Veggies:

- Roast them! I love to roast sweet potatoes (cut up into chips or fries), broccoli & garlic cloves with olive oil and a drizzle of balsamic, etc.

- Spiralize them! Check out www.inspiralized.com for paleo recipes using a spiralizer. You can buy one on that website or on Amazon. Turning vegetables into noodles is literally the best thing ever.
