Parents can't get into schools to watch their kids play sports, but when it comes to elections, it's a whole new ballgame. St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Bishop’s Falls should be celebrating its centennial this year but Covid-19 has other plans.

Turning 100 years old is always a reason for celebration. The problem is if you’re reaching this milestone now, Covid-19 is likely going to rain on your parade. That’s exactly what’s happening with St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Bishop’s Falls, where the parish was slated for a year of celebrations and now it’s all having to be re-imagined. Today we spoke with Reverend Jeffrey Blackwood. About 50 schools in the province will be used on election day, and the use of schools as polling stations isn't going over well with some parents. James Carpenter is with a group he started on Facebook last fall, called Reinstate Indoor School Sports NL. He's been pushing for expanded school sports through the pandemic AND for parents to have access as spectators.
