But members of the Environmental Transparency Committee were doing that last week, and they didn't get the answer they'd hoped for. The committee is concerned about a proposed wind energy project in Western Newfoundland. World Energy GH2 wants to build hundreds of wind turbines and a hydrogen/ammonia plant. The committee had asked the federal environment minister to give the wind energy project extra scrutiny, in the form of a federal impact assessment. But the Minister said no.
