Elections NL: St. Barbe - L'Anse aux Meadows Candidates Panel
Rural Newfoundland and Labrador is at a serious crossroads right now. According to a 2016 study by the Harris Centre, most small communities are shrinking at an alarming rate, especially on the Northern Peninsula. This morning, on our candidates series, we focus on the district of St. Barbe-L'Anse aux Meadows and what can be done to revitalize the region. Ford Mitchelmore is an Independent candidate in the district, Krista Howell is the Liberal, and Sheila Fitzgerald is running for the PCs. John McClusky is the NDP candidate for the district. We did ask him to join us this morning but he declined.
