Fernando Villegas is a Director, Editor, Cinematographer based in New York, who’s love and passion for boxing started at a very young age whilst growing up in Philadelphia. He’s a multi Emmy award winner in different categories, a Peabody winner and has worked on various projects for NBC sports, ABC , NFL , HBO, Showtime, Netflix, Marvel Disney and other broadcast entities. He did his first project with HBO as an editor for Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel in 2000 which led to the opportunity to work on the broadcast of the Tyson VS Lewis fight in 2002. He worked at HBO sports, Real Sports, documentaries and boxing, eventually taking part in the beginnings of the 24/7 series doing camera and editorial on De La Hoya vs Mayweather. He continued to work on 24/7 and other boxing and sports content for HBO until he was hired full time in 2012 as a senior creative producer with responsibilities of collaborating in the creation content for boxing until going back to Freelance in early 2018.
