Pat Healy sits down with renowned boxing promoter Lou Dibella. Lou discusses his start in boxing which began with a job interview with the New York Yankees which subsequently led him to HBO. At HBO, Lou was able to provide massive contributions to the promotion of the sport. Dibella launched "Boxing After Dark" which provided a platform for then unknown fighters in lower weight classes. "BAD" helped birth a catalog of legendary fighters such as Arturo Gatti, Mickey Ward, Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Miguel Cotto and Marcos Maidana. Dibella has had decades of experience promoting Championship fighters in nearly every division. Pat and Lou discuss the state of boxing today and the need for organization with champions and weight divisions. Lou dives deep into the details of different network deals within boxing and the politics that prevent many marquee matchups from happening.
