Dubbed the \u201cGodfathers of LGBTQ+ TV\u201d, Real-life married couple, Deondray & Quincy LeNear Gossfield are the creators, writers and directors of the iconic GLAAD award-winning anthology series, The DL Chronicles.\nBuilding on their brand and following their passion of telling Black, LGBTQ+ stories, they created and directed the Amazon Prime spinoff series, The Chadwick Journals. The third season, featuring Jamar Michael (Dear White People), won a 2021 Silver Telly Award and garnered a 2020 Daytime Emmy\xae Nomination for lead actor, Damian Toofeek Raven (\u201cChadwick\u201d).\nThe Gossfields were also tapped to be part of the producing teams for hit shows\nlike, Kocktails with Khlo\xe9 (FYI), and Sunday Best (BET).\nTheir short film , Flames Executive Produced by Lena Waithe and Rishi Rajani (ray sure Johnny) starring Deion Smith (Outer Banks) and Dontavius Williams, premiered with critical acclaim at 2021\u2019s Tribeca Film Festival and won two Telly Awards for \u201cBest Directing\u201d and "Best Drama\u201d, several SFAAF awards including \u201cBest Directing\u201d and \u201cBest LGBT Short\u201d, 1st Runner Up for \u201cBest Local Short\u201d and the Jury Award for \u201cExcellence in Cinematography\u201d at Out On Film, Atlanta.\nTheir short film, Congo Cabaret, highlighting the LGBTQ+ contribution to the\nHarlem Renaissance, has won numerous awards, and features Parisa (pareesea)Fitz-Henley (Luke Cage), Kevin Daniels (Modern Family), and Darryl Stephens (B Positive).\nTheir film, Smoke, Lilies and Jade, narrated by Emmy\xae and Tony Winner, Billy Porter (Pose) premiered at Outfest Film Festival in Los Angeles and went on to win \u201cBest Short Film\u201d at 2021\u2019s Black Alphabet Film Festival in Chicago.\nThe pair made their TV directorial debut in 2022 on Lena Waithe\u2019s and Showtime Network\u2019s drama, The Chi.
