A-Pop Star: Isaac Parker
Isaac Parker is a fresh face on the music scene, debuting as a solo artist just over a year ago in July of 2020, but this 23 year old Masters Graduate from the Marriot School of Business is no stranger to working hard to find a place in a brand new environment. \n\nGrowing up as a gay kid from a big family in Utah\u2019s religious suburbia meant never having a place to belong or someone to express emotions to and honestly talk with, so from a very young age music became a reliable friend, always there with a perfectly packaged 3 minute emotion, and now it\u2019s his turn to release those emotional packages into the world. \n\nAlthough still new to the industry, Isaac has been hard at work, releasing 4 EPs in 2021, one for each of the four seasons. The latest release, a compilation album titled \u201cDay & Night: Always By Your Side\u201d perfectly encapsulates his goal with music, he says: \u201cI\u2019ve been completely alone for a lot of my life, but music has always been there for me. So my goal is to make a song for every moment of the year, every time of day, every emotion that needs to be felt, so that no matter what the listener needs in a given moment, I can be by their side to help them feel exactly what they need in that moment just like so many artists have done for me\u201d
