He talks about growing up in Virginia Beach and his experience as a white male attending a local HBCU (Norfolk State). Coach Sparks has been at the D1, JUCO, D3 and HS levels and still teaches during the day and still manages to work full time hours at The Apprentice School. He genuinely cares about his players and values relationships with them as well as his coaching peers. His experiences will really help coach of all ages understand the grind that it takes to be successful in coaching.
