Coach Jason Martinez shares his journey from growing up in Saratoga Springs New York to becoming a Strength & Conditioning Coach at the NCAA Division I level.

Martinez graduated from Manhattan College with a degree in Exercise Science, from there he went on to intern with Clemson and Penn State. After his internships he accepted a Graduate Assistant position at Lindenwood University where after two years he parlayed that into a job at Wake Forest under Coach Danny Manning. He worked under Coach Ryan Horn and was instrumental in designing a state-of-the-art athletic performance facility at Wake Forest.

East Carolina hired Coach Martinez in 2020 and he spent two seasons on Coach Joe Dooley\'s coaching staff as their Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach for Men\'s Basketball. He returned to New York when Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino hired him to his staff at Iona. Coach Martinez also assisted the women\'s basketball program while working at Iona.

In May of 2023 Coach Martinez was hired at North Texas to be the Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Mean Green.
