Today we explained some of the tax ramifications of the federal government's various stimulus plans including the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act from Corey Sutton who is with H&R Block.

Corey explained (in laymen's terms) that most of the tax effects of these plans will occur down the road but there are some things that you take advantage of for your 2008 tax return. Some of the things to be aware of are: new home buyer credit, one time social security payments and even some increased tax credits to encourage you to make your home more energy efficient. To learn more please go to www.hrblock.com. They have a lot of current information there as well as the locations of all the convenient H&R Block offices around the metro Atlanta area.
