Welcome back to the new Football League season dear listeners! Welcome to a warm and we hope, reinvigorated Den - with all the bad apples swept away by Neil Harris\'s broom.

Thankfully the right result followed, a close run, single goal victory over a Preston side who were a shadow of the outfit who took three goals in the first 20 minutes from us just six months ago in February.

This week\'s show includes the usual in-game stream of consciousness with yours truly, a number of interjections from ex Fan on the Board Micky Simpson, the Lucas Ball report and post match comment from Tony Munday. Incidentally I forgot my mic pop cover, hence the increased number of \'plosives\' during my comment. Schoolboy error on my part.

The Millwall Fan Show returns next week, whilst Achtung! Millwall will returns after the home game v Sheffield Wednesday on August 17th.

And finally, here are a few random comments from the social media regarding today\'s win:

Will Evans -Jones That noise Millwall make randomly is what I expect you hear entering the gates of Hell. Pre season pace. Too many players off the pace. We didn’t want to fight. Heck of an atmosphere though. Fair play Millwall #pnefc #MillwallFC

Neil Harris - “The team were in complete control. Correct me if I’m wrong but I can’t remember my goalkeeper making a save,” Harris said. “I thought we dealt with the Frank Fielding situation really well. When you can bring on Bart Bialkowski, wow, player of the year at Ipswich year after year, experience at this level.

“You sometimes worry about a goalkeeper coming on, could it unsettle the team. He came on like he played 300 games for Millwall. I’m really pleased, three points, a quality goal, clean sheet – it doesn’t get better than that.

“There was a different feel today, I’ve got a different group of lads. What was special today was the group that’s building in that changing room got to play in and witness – as the subs did and Jason McCarthy and Jayson Molumby who weren’t in the squad – that atmosphere. That was quite phenomenal.

Connor Mahoney - Debut ✅ 3 points and assist! Atmosphere was incredible... Job done! \\U0001f981 Go again next week \\U0001f44c\\U0001f3fb @MillwallFC

Millwall Halfwayline - Murray wallace showing why we haven\'t signed another left back...great display

Grumpy Grimace - No goal celebration music? MUCH BETTER!!!!!

Arrivederci Millwall
