The First Mile Always Lies returns with another special collaboration with the big run podcast.
\nMyself and Danny Easton recorded live at Meopham, Gravesend at the Maverick Race event, Ultra Black Trails.
\nThe aim was to promote diversity on the trails. So we take a deep dive and give you a behind the scenes aspect of the race, and even take you into the race.
\nIn this episode we speak with Dora Atim who founded Ultra Black Running, which she created to form a safe space for black women and non-gender conforming people to turn up, and truly own their place at the starting line. She partnered with Maverick races to bring this event to fruition.
\nWe also speak with Ben Macwilliam, Director of Maverick Race and gain valuable insights into what it takes to put together an event like this.
\nWe also capture a series of conversations with:
\nPlus we capture additional experiences, and insights of the running community in this podcast.
