The stories help to Understand How \\nInsurance Fraud in America is Costing Everyone who Buys Insurance \\nThousands of Dollars Every year and Why Insurance Fraud is Safer and \\nMore Profitable for the \\xad\\xad\\xadPerpetrators than any Other Crime.\\n\\nUnfortunately, like Every Profession, Some are not Honorable and This \\nStory is Presented to Warn Insurers and Professional Public Adjusters \\nHow to Recognize the Amoral Members of the Profession\\n\\nThe amoral public adjuster also has in his office computers a schedule \\nof household goods. Whatever claim he adjusts; the same list of \\nhousehold goods is presented to the insurance company adjuster. The list\\n always contains ten cans of Libby peas, four cans of Libby string \\nbeans, five cans of Del Monte tomato sauce, and twenty can of Campbell \\npea soup. Every schedule prepared by the amoral public adjuster shows a \\nthirteen-inch Sony Trinitron color television with remote control in the\\n kitchen and a 50 inch HD TV in the family room. The living room always \\ncontains a complete entertainment center with sixty inch televisions \\nhung on the wall, a TiVo, a stereo and a CD player. The amoral public \\nadjuster does not even attempt to find out what was actually in the \\ninsured\\u2019s house.\\n\\nInvariably, because of the extent of the list of personal property, the \\ninsured\\u2019s claim is invariably greater than their policy limit.\\n\\nThe amoral public adjuster is happiest when the loss exceeds the policy \\n\\nThe amoral public adjuster\\u2019s success relied on the fact that the \\ncompany\\u2019s adjuster is overworked, underpaid and under-trained. \\n\\nThe fraud was perfect. The perpetrators and the victims alike, were \\nsatisfied.\\n\\nIf the insurance industry believes it is saving money by under staffing,\\n under paying and failing to properly train its adjusters, it is sorely \\nmistaken.\\n\\nI submit that the most effective means of defeating fraudulent insurance\\n claims would be for the insurance industry to recognize that its staff \\nof adjusters must be highly trained professionals who earn the best wage\\n in the insurance company and who are motivated and rewarded for good \\nwork. Adjusters must be compensated and rewarded for the quality of \\ntheir work, not the quantity.\\n\\nVery few public adjusters are amoral.
