In 2016 Kings Island announced their next roller coaster, Mystic Timbers. But not without controversy. The Cincinnati, Ohio based amusement park showed off all but the end of their 16th roller coaster. A POV simulation of the ride previewed riders through the 3,000+ twists and turns of the ride, but came to a screeching halt when they arrived at the shed. So, #whatsintheshed was created. For months, anticipation built with riders wanting to know what it could be. From a marketing perspective, rides get announced every year, but you typically, see all parts and features of these million dollar behemoths before even riding. Not with Mystic Timbers, however. 6 months of free publicity with onlookers wondering whats in the shed. #zackmillersays #rollercoaster
