Cornelia Jude :: Mended Faith ::102

Published: May 8, 2018, 2 p.m.

Cornelia Jude lived to tell her story. Growing up her mothers boyfriend sexually assaulted her and she was convinced that there was nothing she could do about it. Terrified as to what would happen if she told someone, she instead did nothing. Until she had enough courage to do so. Jude turned her fragile state into a forgiving one and wrote the book Mended Faith. http://www.mendedfaith.com/ Mended Faith shares Cornelia Jude's struggle to understand why she was the target of repetitive sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, and how unhealthy coping mechanisms--drug and alcohol abuse, reclusive behavior, and self-mutilation--didn't heal her, but added more brokenness to her already shattered life. Her story mirrors the accounts of many women today living in the shadows of their abuse and who watch its remnants affect their marriages, damage their parenting, and cloud their judgment. Jude builds a case for faith in Christ as the only way to find peace, forgive abusers, and live a life of joy beyond the shadows of pain. https://www.amazon.com/Mended-Faith-Life-Abuse-Redemption/dp/1683508750 In this episode: How to turn a violent situation into positive transparent one Why writing a book is a vehicle to fix pains and tell a story If you want to be seen, you must get out of our own bubble Need a website or graphic design work?
