Podcast: Should You Hire a Business Consultant?

Published: Feb. 19, 2016, 12:30 p.m.

Most of us want more from our practices. We want more clients, more revenue, and more free time. At some point, we realize that achieving "more" is limited by our own perspective. Should you pay someone specialized in guiding companies toward accomplishing goals for that outside perspective? It depends. Are you hiring a "friend" who acts more like a cheerleader or someone who holds you accountable and tells you the facts that you don't want to hear? Measure these relationships by the profit that they are creating or acknowledge that you're paying a lot of money for a friend (at least it's tax deductible). In this episode, I share my experience with consultants(/hired friends?) and one of my most valuable sources of business growth. Getting outside help is a good thing. It's helped me grow tremendously. Look outside of yourself.
