Saxophone Artist Robert Kyle

b'Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Robert Kyle came from a family of passionate music lovers. He entered college as a music major and aspiring drummer, but soon found himself drawn to the saxophone. \\n \\nIn addition to playing saxophones and flutes, he also plays percussion, harmonica, and is a composer/arranger and producer. He is musically adept in a variety of styles including straight-ahead Jazz, Blues, Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, Funk, R and B and Classical. He has become known for his unique warm sound, melodic style, and his ability to harmoniously cross many musical borders. His lyrical and passionate playing are evident in whatever musical situation he finds himself. He has a very active studio career playing for TV, film, and jingles, and has been a featured soloist on numerous albums. Robert leads several of his own groups and has released six CD\'s under his own name. His four/five piece instrumental band plays a variety of music with a focus on Latin and Brazilian Jazz, and is regularly featured at clubs and festivals around the Southern California area. His Brazilian trio "Braziliando" plays a mix of classic as well as contemporary Samba, Bossa Nova and Brazilian Jazz, mixing vocal and instrumental music.\\n \\nYou can hear him around town with one of his own band, as well as with Linda Hopkins, Leslie Paula, Billy Mitchell, The Hi-Fi Quintet, Betty Bryant, Greg Poree, Kleber Jorge, The Jumpin\' Joz band, Alessa and The International Band, The L.A. Choro Ensemble and many others.'
