A trip to the pharmacy is, let\\u2019s be honest, kind of a drag. \\xa0You wait in line. \\xa0You give your name. \\xa0You watch them rifle through the bags. If you\\u2019re lucky, they have your prescription ready. \\xa0You pay, and you\\u2019re done. \\xa0On a good day, you might get a half-smile and a muttered, \\u2018hello,\\u2019 from your pharmacist. \\xa0It wasn\\u2019t always this way. \\xa0Before the modern-day pharmacy, there was the bygone era of the apothecary. \\xa0And before pharmacists were relegated to their roles as rubber-stampers of doctor-prescribed medicines, there were herbalists who used their encyclopedic botanical knowledge to create and dispense hand-crafted remedies. \\xa0Well, what\\u2019s old is new again. \\xa0The Signal\\u2019s Aaron Henkin has the story\\u2026
