Colleges Brace for More Remedial Classes

In less than a year, the student population at colleges and universities in Kentucky will change. In the fall 2010 semester, new statewide ACT standards will raise the scores needed in Math and Reading for incoming freshmen. For community colleges and regional universities like Murray State University, this means a significant increase in the number of students coming in below the college benchmark. Angela Hatton reports on how these institutions are bracing for more remedial students.
