Colia LaFayette Clark participated in the youth movement of the Civil Rights era and served as a special assistant to Medgar Evers. Her contributions to the freedom movement are noted in more than a dozen books. Ms. Clark will deliver the keynote address Monday, Jan. 18 at Cherokee Historic Resort Park, to commemorate the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. Jacque Day spoke with the lifelong activist, and brings us this interview.
