In what is promised to be a very popular series on Whose Blind Life is it Anyway, Mary Stores features in this new series titled, Life With 4 Senses, that embodies our network’s catchphrase, “A Blind Perspective Network:

Life With 4 Senses features Mary Stores demonstrating various tasks, using her remaining four senses, hearing, smell, touch, and taste. Although the various tasks she demonstrates seem to be easy accomplishments for sighted individuals, in fact, many of these tasks are taken for granted by the sighted population, and are never given any consideration as being applicable to the blind and visually impaired.

On her first premier episode, Mary describes and demonstrates how a visually impaired individual uses a French Press, without burning and scalding themselves with boiling water. Though this first episode is done without her, Mary’s demonstrations will be chronicled by her intrepid videographer, Lena Williams, as she catches every nuance of Mary’s abilities using her four senses, both around the house, and her daily life.

Life With 4 Senses is produced by Mary Stores and Lena Williams, and edited in the studios of Whose Blind Life is it Anyway. We thank Mary for all the work she’s doing to help educate sighted individuals, as well as, blind and visually impaired individuals, that lack of sight, does not mean lack of ability and skill, and we hope she can make many videos to come.
