47 Friday Film Feature: The Notebook (2004)
In a touching movie directed by Nick Cassabetts, Noah, played by Ryan Gossling, and Allie, played by Rachel McAdams, are a couple whose story is told within the pages of a notebook that an old man, played by James Garner, is reading to an old woman, played by Gena Rowlands. Also featuring the talents of Kevin Connolly, Sam Shepard and Joan Allen, rounding off the cast, the story in the notebook paints one the image of life in the southern United States in the Nineteen-forties, with romance, love, and war, in other words, what every marriage has at one point or another.
