It started when your parents pierced your ears, or you got a circumcision, body modification has been around for a long time, way back to tribal males elongating their lips by placing plates in them, or tribal women placing rings around their neck in hopes of making their necks longer, and yet, body modification can be done for a variety of reasons, cultural, pleasure, even esthetically, and of course, there is the more significant reason, body dysmorphia, having thoughts in your head that one must be perfect to reach the epitome of masculinity or femineity, where do such feelings stop, and healing begin.
