On this week’s Friday Film Feature, Victor reviews Suspiria (2018), an interesting movie, made by women, for women, though I think men will enjoy the nudity and horrifying witchcraft rites displayed.

In top billing is Chlo\xe9 Grace Moretz, known for such works as Kickass (2010) and Carrie (2013), and Tilda Swinton, best known for the Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) and Doctor Strange (2016), but the star that shines the brightest is Dakota Johnson, most famous for the starring role of Anastasia Steele, in all three of the Fifty Shades trilogy of films, (2015-2018). All of the actors had to learn to speak German for this feature, as there are plenty of scenes in German with subtitles, but the narration read by Adrienne Barbeau, makes this feature a wild ride.

This film marks the third movie in Dario Argento’s three mothers trilogy, all having to do with witchcraft and paganism, both of which figure prominently in this movie and the other two previous to it.

Watch and listen to Victor’s review of television shows, and movies that are released with description for the blind, and he lets you know if the feature is a grand watch, or something that should be left in the discount bin at your local video store.
