No one is above the law, and Teddy Roosevelt famously said, “No man [should
be] above the law and no man [should be] below it; nor do we ask any man’s permission when we ask him to obey it.” To categorically say otherwise is to
undermine the foundation of American democracy.”

But according to the laws in the United States, United States presidents cannot be held accountable for what they do in office, regardless of what they do, but once they leave office, any crimes committed by that president are fair game. And yet, some people don’t think we should. In fact, some people in the United States believe we concentrate too much on past presidents, yet others believe that to completely absolve the presidents of any wrong doing, means a complete contradiction to what America was first founded on, the principles that no one is above the law, king or otherwise. So one has to wonder…who is right?

Are there some who are above the law?

Join our panel, on Saturday, 4:00 pm (EST), 1:00 pm (PST), 9:00 pm (GMT), as they discuss topical news items of importance from a blind perspective.

The Blind Perspective is an interactive show, allowing for the participation of the audience.
